FUNDRAISER FLYER CAN BE SEEN HERE
Hello to all,
By now you may have heard about the Cy-Fair Fire Department (Harris County/Houston, Texas) member that was critically injured (not sure how far reaching in the news this has gone). His name is Thomas Shuster. He is out of the same fire station that I am. He was injured in an incident Monday afternoon in the Aldine area of Harris County. He works for O'Reily's Auto Parts delivering to their stores. An accident had happened on Aldine-Bender Road and one of the parties fled the scene. This person drove into the parking lot of the Aldine store at a high rate of speed. This person hit Thomas pinning him against another vehicle. He was flown to Hermann Hospital by Lifeflight.
His injuries consist of an above knee amputation of the right leg, below knee amputation of the left leg, spleen and kidney inuries, a fractured pelvis and injuries to his spinal column (the exact extent of the spinal column injuries is unknown at this time due medical issues from the accident). One amputation occured on scene with the other being partial until after arriving at the hospital. He is scheduled for additional surgeries today and tomorrow, but due to his condition it is unknown if he can even handle the surgeries at this time.
I have attatched a flier for a fund raiser that we are doing this Sunday. I appologize for the late notice. If you are in the Cy-Fair area, please stop by Cy-Fair Fire Station #8 and help support this effort. But more importantly, please keep Thomas and his parents in your thoughts and prayers. This will be greatly appreciated (along with any other assistance).
Thank you to all,
Chris Wilson
